Apology Letter for Late Delivery

Dear .......,

This is to inform you in advance that we are not in a position to make timely delivery of your purchase order No. BB 1234765 on the date indicated earlier.

The delay is caused by a mix-up that resulted in a large number of computer parts sent to a wrong company. This disrupted the company’s normal delivery schedule.

However, we are pleased to inform you that we have solved our outstanding issues so we shall dispatch your order today. We expect that they should arrive in a week’s time, on August 24, 2011.  

We again apologize for any inconveniences caused to you and your company and looking forward to minimizing delays in the future.
